Job Purpose

Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Implements approved Department policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner    
  • Adherence to the department policies, processes and procedures 
Day-to-day Operations
  • Follows the day-to-day operations assigned for the Procurement department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

Description Key Results Area
  • Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures. 
  • Report or review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, or environmental testing.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes. 
  • Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment in order to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
  • Conduct or coordinate employee training in areas such as safety policies and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
  • Interview employees to obtain information about work environments and workplace unsafe conditions & incidents.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and incidents / accidents.
  • Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to chemical, physical, and biological work hazards.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to organizations on how to handle health-related problems and make needed changes.
  • Confer with medical professionals to assess health risks and to develop ways to manage health issues and concerns.
  • Maintain liaisons with outside organizations, such as Fire Training centers, JAMA’A, and RC so that emergency responses can be facilitated.
  • Evaluate adequacy of actions taken to correct health inspection violations.
  • Write and revise safety regulations and codes as necessary.
  • Ensures compliance to all relevant health, safety, security, and environmental procedures across the Company in order to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Recommends Health monitoring programs and evaluates as its effectiveness. 
  • Review employee safety programs and work permit system to determine their adequacy.
  • Interpret safety regulations according to RC regulations and implement prevention methods for Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental protection.

  • Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for Department in order to meet Department requirements, policies and standards.
  • Key information captured accurately and presented to decision-makers in a timely manner

HSSE

  • Ensures compliance to all relevant health, safety, security, and environmental procedures across the Company in order to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Recommends Health monitoring programs and evaluates as its effectiveness. 
  • Review employee safety programs and work permit system to determine their adequacy.
  • Interpret safety regulations according to RC regulations and implement prevention methods for Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental protection.
  • Develops operational procedures for a defined area so that security activities are aligned to the achievement of the overall objectives of the Company Security
  • Ensures the emergency response at the company and designs safety strategy

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience

8-10 years of experience.
