Job Purpose

Departmental Plans and Strategy

  • Implements the departments maintenance plan to ensure the achieving the departments objectives and Farabi’s business objectives.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of section policies, processes, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled

Day- to-day operations

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of Maintenance department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures
  • Follow up KPI reports findings.

Job Specific

  • Creation of maintenance plans in conjunction with discipline engineers.
  • Manage and control contract resources in order to facilitate the engineering maintenance plans. E.g. scaffolding, hire equipment, cranes etc.
  • Prepare and plan maintenance activities; monitor implementation and update plans with actual performance; review processes and procedures on completion to improve.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key service providers including equipment overhaul/refurbishment and management of quality critical hold points.
  • Ensure the completion of appropriately detailed plans and costs.
  • Prepare and review defined KPI for maintenance strategy.
  • Manage the Materials Resource Planning requirements daily.
  • Review reorder suggestions checking reorder levels, quantities and stock holding to ensure compliance to the maintenance strategy.
  • Establishes resources and budget required for shut downs coordination with the maintenance manager to ensure smooth flow of operations.
  • Administrates all maintenance activities and reports all findings to the maintenance manager to ensure that the manager is up to date with operational activities.  
  • Administers CMMS to ensure accurate flow of data and management of module for optimal reporting and operation. 
  • Develop the turnaround scope, packages and budgeting.
  • Detailed scheduling of TA and major maintenance activities utilizing planning software’s like Primavera and MS Projects.
  • Access the scopes for yearly maintenance and provide the inputs for maintenance budget.
  • Co-ordination with engineering department for dilution of inspection and reliability plans and recommendations.
  • Follow up of critical project scheduling with project team.
  • Train and develop the maintenance planners.
  • Involvement in internal and external audits.
  • Maintain records and update the CMMS on regular basis for effective implementation of PM/PdM plans.
  • Successful and planned shut downs. 
  • Smooth shutdown process.   
  • Availability and organization of all records.
  • Enhancing the performance of the maintenance activities.  
  • Contractors’ services delivered as per terms and conditions.

Reporting

Supervises and edits the preparation of timely and accurate departmental reports which conform to Farabi and department requirements, policies and standards.

All department reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner and meet company  policies and requirements

Budget 
  • Preparation of the Maintenance budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed.
  • Accuracy of data and contribution towards budget 
Supervision
  • Supervises the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets
  • Develop skill module to train the planners and ensure knowledge building and transfer
  • Healthy, secure, and safe work environment. 
  • Compliance to all regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Effective Planning and implementations of safety training.

HSSE

  • Ensures compliance to all relevant health, safety, security, and environmental procedures across the Company in order to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Supports & ensures in incident investigation and provide technical information as required for process, injuries etc.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Equivalent

Experience

8– 10 years of experience (Maintenance or planning)
